Thank You

I hope you're getting excited about your upcoming newborn session!

Thanks so much for choosing Hassan Malik Photography . I am excited to work with you in capturing some wonderful memories.

Here's what to expect leading up to the photo session:

  1. Deposit Invoice: the deposit secures your session date and time.

  2. Photography Agreement: outlines the session price, time and date, the number of images you will receive, and other information such as rescheduling due to inclement weather.

  3. Questionnaire: helps me get a better understanding of what you are exactly wanting to capture from the session.

I'll follow up with you 1 to 2 days before the session and check in to see if there are further questions.

During the photo session:

When we meet, I'll spend a few minutes getting to know everyone and making sure the little ones are comfortable with me. I'll take some test pictures in the beginning. Don't worry I'll let you know when I start taking the pictures. I will guide you through the entire process.

With newborns we want to allow for about 1.5-2 hours. There will be diaper changes and probably feedings during the session. Ideally we want the temperature around 75-80 degrees. A little warmer than we like but it's more comfortable for the newborns.

Post photo session: It usually it takes me about 10 to 14 days to process the pictures. I'll send you an email when I start editing along with a couple of pictures to keep you excited and looking forward to seeing all of them!  After I'm done editing the pictures, you will receive two emails:

  1. I will send you a link to download all the pictures. There will be two formats (hi-resolution and web optimized). The hi-resolution format is for printing and the web optimized format is for online use.

  2. The second email will be a link to a password protected gallery that you can view online and share with family and friends. I usually leave up the gallery for six months.

Printing:

If you're going to print small prints, I recommend any local retailer, such as CVS or Costco. If you're going to print a large image, I recommend ordering prints from the gallery link I send you. The gallery is linked to one of my favorite labs for photographers and the images are high quality. I've tried several photo labs and this one is my favorite.

You can email or call anytime with questions or if you want to run any ideas by me for our upcoming session.

Some common questions I get:

Q. What should I wear?

A. Here is a link to some ideas on newborn sessions. Things to stay away from are stripes which sometimes confuse the camera. Light colors such as a cream, white or gray work well. Even throwing in some pink or reds can be nice. Check out the link below to get some ideas.

Q. What style should expect with the photos?

A. This session is going to be laid back and I'll guide you through the entire process. The images will be full of light and bright.
